Houseplants are never enough, but we often get the question which houseplant is best suited for which room or space. Actually, this is a very good question because a houseplant only needs water and light to survive. So you can say that light is a basic necessity of life for your houseplant. The right location is therefore very important for your houseplant! Not every plant has the same light requirement, there are plants that do well in the shade or full sun, but there are also a lot of houseplants that require normal daylight.

Why you need a normal daylight houseplant!

Houseplants that need normal daylight can actually be anywhere! They prefer to be in partial shade and half sun and let it be the case that everyone has such a place in his house! Enough choice between different flowering houseplants, green houseplants, tropical houseplants and air-purifying houseplants!

Because we at Green-Bubble have such a wide range of houseplants that require normal daylight, we have listed our favorites for you.

Normal daylight houseplant Croton Excellent (Codiaeum)

The Croton Excellent or the 'Wonder bush' owes this name to its amazingly large and striking leaves. Its leaves have a special color palette of yellow, white, green, orange and even purple. To keep the leaves of the Croton Excellent as beautiful as possible, we recommend that you spray the plant regularly. It is also important that the soil of the Croton Excellent remains constantly slightly moist. The Croton Excellent likes to be in normal daylight and this will keep it its beautiful colors!

Normal daylight houseplant Beaucarnea branches

Originally, this normal daylight houseplant comes from South America and can grow up to 8 meters in height. The nickname of the Beaucarnea is Elephant's Paw and this he owes to the tuber at the bottom of the trunk. The Beaucarnea is easy to maintain and this is due to the root ball at the bottom of the plant, because it stores water and other nutrients in it. Super handy! Due to the water storage in its tuber, the Beaucarnea needs less water than other houseplants. Also in terms of location, this houseplant is not the most difficult. A pitch with normal daylight where three to four hours of sunlight shines a day is perfect.

Normaal daglicht kamerplant Philodendron Prince of Orange

You guessed it maybe all this normal daylight houseplant gets its name from its orange leaves. Originally this plant comes from the rainforests and they climb trees and rocks there. The orange prince is an easy plant to care for, it prefers to be in normal daylight but preferably not in the bright sunlight. The Philodendron Prince of Orange likes a moist soil but it should not stay wet for too long. This could cause the Philodendron Prince of Orange to develop root rot.

Normal daylight houseplant Schefflera gold capella braided trunk

This originally Australian Schefflera gold capella is an easy to maintain houseplant that will do well in normal daylight. In China, this houseplant is one of the most well-known and popular plants. The leaf fingers of the houseplant would retain positive energy, sending prosperity to its inhabitants. Now that you've heard this, you can't leave this easy houseplant, can you?! The Schefflera gold Capella is easy to care for and also consumes little water. A slightly moist soil is best for this houseplant, but in winter the soil may dry slightly between waterings. For the pitch you can give the Schefflera gold capella a place with normal daylight.

Normal daylight houseplant Maranta Kerchoveana

The Maranta Kerchoveana is a special houseplant and is originally from South America. Each family member in this family has a different leaf pattern and color. The Maranta Kerchoveana can be recognized by its grass green color leaves with brown spots that turn dark green over time. The Maranta Kerchoveana can thrive in normal daylight but you need to protect it from too much sunlight. The Maranta Kerchoveana regularly needs small amounts of lukewarm water, because it is important that the potting soil is constantly slightly moist. We also recommend that you spray this houseplant at least 1 time a week. By spraying the leaves you ensure a higher humidity around the plant.

Normal daylight houseplant the Pineapple plant

The Pineapple plant is an 'all-time favourite' and completely suitable for normal daylight! In addition to his too nice appearance, he also seems to help against snoring. The Pineapple plant doesn't need as much attention as you might think! If you occasionally keep an eye on things, this special houseplant will be satisfied quickly. The Pineapple plant is not thirsty so quickly, once a week a splash of water is more than sufficient. However, it is important to give the Pineapple plant a spot with normal daylight and enough heat.

Normal daylight houseplant Philodendron Birkin

The Philodendron Birkin is a real favorite among the house plants, Philo also means in Greek: "to love". Originally this plant comes from the tropical rainforests and it is naturally a climbing plant. Striking are the white markings on the sheet, although you will not see much of this with your purchase. The older the plant gets, the more stripes the plant gets on its new leaves. The Philodendron Birkin needs a location with normal daylight but no full sun. The Philodendron Birkin likes a bit higher humidity, he will appreciate being sprayed regularly!

Normal daylight houseplant Dischidia white diamond

This hanging houseplant will never look out of place, the Dischidia white diamond is also known as the Dischidia Oiantha Variegata. Originally, the Dischidia white diamond comes from the jungles of Asia. The Dischidia white diamond is not a difficult houseplant to care for. This houseplant can be used as a hanging houseplant, but you could also place it well standing. We recommend that you water this houseplant once every five days. To keep this houseplant healthy and to support its development, we also recommend spraying this houseplant once a week. This houseplant needs normal daylight to grow well and stay healthy. However, direct sunlight will not contribute to this, this light is too bright and will not make its leaves more beautiful on it.

Normal daylight houseplant Calathea White Fusion

The Calathea White Fusion is rare in its kind, because there are few Calathea species that have white spots / drawings on the leaf. Originally, the Calathea plant comes from the tropical rainforests of South America. The Calathea White Fusion is a super strong normal daylight houseplant with a great beautiful appearance! The Calathea White Fusion needs a little lukewarm water 2 to 3 times a week, because it is important that the potting soil is constantly slightly moist. As mentioned, this houseplant is suitable for normal daylight but be careful with direct sunlight. From spring to autumn, it is best to place the Calathea White Fusion in a place with partial shade. In the winter months you can move this houseplant to a slightly lighter place but still without direct sunlight.

Normal daylight houseplant Polyscias Fabian

The Polyscias Fabian is a real jungle plant that originally comes from Africa and Asia. When you bring the Polyscias Fabian into your home, a piece of rainforest comes to your living room! Another name for the Polyscias is Aralia, these two names are used interchangeably but refer to the same plant. In the summer months the soil should always be moist, the soil should not dry out between waterings. We also recommend spraying this normal daylight houseplant regularly because the Polyscias Fabian likes a humid environment.

The Polyscias Fabian prefers to be in a place with normal daylight, but this houseplant does need sunlight, so do not put it too dark. Direct sunlight does not benefit this houseplant, a few hours of indirect sunlight is enough for the Polyscias Fabian.
