The Polyscias Fabian is a real jungle plant that originates from Africa and Asia. Another name for the Polyscias is Aralia, these two names are used interchangeably but refer to the same plant. In terms of care, this houseplant requires a little more energy than others, but when you take the Polyscias Fabian into your home, you bring a piece of the rainforest into your living room! Apart from the fact that this tropical houseplant looks great, the Polyscias Fabian converts carbon dioxide into oxygen, another plus! 

A fun fact, in Greek 'Polyscias' means many shades. This refers to the fact that the Polyscias Fabian offers a lot of shade, because in nature this plant can grow into a huge tree.

This houseplant requires a little more attention than the average houseplant. A good location is crucial for a healthy Polyscias Fabian. This houseplant is also naturally sensitive to pests. Because this houseplant wants a high humidity, the Polyscias Fabian is a good target for aphids and scale insects. These pests can be controlled with a biological or chemical pesticide. Spider mites also find the Polyscias Fabian an attractive plant, but they can be easily removed with a powerful jet of water. Be careful not to damage the leaves.

The water needs of the Polyscias Fabian are important for its growth and health, so watering should be precise.
