Originally, Scindapsus Trebie comes from the tropical and forest regions of Southeast Asia. Here, the houseplant grows in the shade and climbs up the trunks of tall trees.
Due to its tropical origin, the plant needs sufficient moisture. Therefore, make sure the potting soil is always kept moist but not wet. In terms of light, this plant is not the most difficult, it does well with plenty of daylight but also with a bit more shade. However, do not put it in bright sunlight, this will cause it to dry out and may burn the leaves.
As mentioned, the soil should always be slightly moist to the touch. If there is too much water, the Scindapsus will 'sweat'. Droplets will appear at the tips of the leaves. This is a sign that the plant is getting too much water. In this case, reduce the amount at the next watering.
The Scindapsus Trebie is not very fussy about its location. It does well in plenty of daylight but can also live well in a more shady spot. Place it in a spot with enough light but avoid direct sunlight.
The plant is not poisonous when touched but be careful with small children and pets. Ingesting the plant can cause considerable irritation.
