Please note: the height of the plant can vary between 140cm - 160cm measured including the pot.
Originally, the Scindapsus comes from the tropical and forested regions of South-East Asia. Here, the houseplant grows in the shade under the dense foliage of the jungle against tree trunks.
Because of its tropical origin, this plant needs sufficient moisture. Make sure that the potting soil always stays moist, but not wet. In terms of light, this plant is not the most difficult. It does well with a lot of daylight but also with some more shade. Do not place it in bright sunlight, however, as this will cause it to dry out and may burn the leaves.
This tropical plant also needs enough water, so the soil in which it stands should never feel completely dry. The plant will show this soon enough by developing brown spots on its leaves. With too much water, the Scindapsus will sweat. Droplets will appear at the tips of the leaves. This is a sign that the plant is getting too much water. In this case, reduce the quantity the next time you water.
The Scindapsus Pictus Trebie is not so picky about its location. It thrives in a lot of daylight but can also live in a more shady spot. Place it in a spot with enough light but avoid direct sunlight.
The plant is not poisonous to touch, but be careful with children and pets. Ingesting the plant can cause considerable irritation.
