Please note! Height may vary by 10cm. This is measured including growing pot. These shrubs are deciduous in autumn/winter.
The Photinia, native to Southeast Asia and the Himalayas, is characterised by creamy white blossoms in May and a striking spike of pink to brownish-red hues in spring. In autumn, the leaves transform to a rusty colour.
The Photinia Red Robin is not a difficult outdoor plant. Just make sure you are well informed about the right care. It is important to know that these plants like to be sheltered. In a windy location, the plants may lose a lot of leaves and become bare.
The most important thing for the Photinia Red Robin is that it never stands in dry soil. Make sure the soil is always slightly moist but beware of excess water. Make sure there is good drainage in the pot or soil in which the plant stands.
The Photinia Red Robin prefers a bright spot. A spot with occasional shade is also fine for the plant.
Unfortunately, the berries that can grow on this plant are poisonous. Be careful with pets and small children.
