Ficus Lyrata owes its nickname 'the Tobacco Plant' to its history where the leaves were used for cigars. When you purchase this topper, chances are that the houseplant will drop some leaves in the beginning. But don't panic, this is simply because it needs to get used to its new environment. We send it to you in the Nora Matt Honey decorative pot.
The Nora Matt Honey is a handmade ornamental pot, which is completely covered with silver leaf and is then finished with a lacquer coating. This unique ornamental pot features a water reservoir, water gauge, frame and decorative stones.
Ficus Lyrata on stem is an easy houseplant to maintain. However, this air-purifying houseplant is sensitive to new environments. Should Ficus Lyrata grow to one side, do not move the plant all at once but turn it a little every day. This is because if there are major changes, the plant may drop its leaves. A sprinkling will benefit the leaves of the Ficus Lyrata. The dust and possible pests will not get a chance this way.
This pot is equipped with a wick (Wick). When the plant is thirsty, it draws water up through the wick. All you have to do is refill the water reservoir every now and then and find a good spot in the house! For the rest, the plant takes care of itself!
Ficus Lyrata on stem is a real sun worshipper, so it prefers a bright spot close to a window. The plant really needs daylight to continue growing. If no new leaves appear, this is a sign of a location that is too dark.
The leaves of Ficus Lyrata are unfortunately toxic to pets and children. Ingestion of the plant is not recommended, as it can cause irritated bumps and red skin. The juice contained in the plant can cause skin irritation. So be careful with this plant if you have children or pets.
This sun worshipper is delivered in a cultivation pot. All our houseplants are shipped in specially designed shipping boxes. Due to the unique interior of the shipping boxes, the houseplants stand firmly in the box and cannot move. Houseplants don't mind spending a day in a dark box. So we make sure your green friends are delivered to your home in tip-top order.
