Please note that the height of the Ficus will be between 215 cm - 235 cm.
Ficus Elastica Abidjan is also known as the Indian Rubber Tree. Indeed, until the 20th century, the Ficus Elastica Abidjan was an important source for the extraction of rubber.
Ficus Elastica Abidjan has deep dark red leaves and at the top of the plant is a red plume. Many people think this is the Ficus' flower, but this is not true. Ficus develops its leaves from this plume.

Ficus Abidjan is not a difficult houseplant to maintain. However, the houseplant is sensitive to new environments. Should Ficus grow to one side, do not move the plant all at once, but turn it a little every day. This is because in case of major changes, the plant may drop its leaves. A regular watering will be appreciated by the plant. Dust and possible pests will not have a chance this way.
You can always keep the soil of this houseplant slightly moist. In the beginning, give Ficus small amounts of water several times. After a while, you will know approximately how much water the plant needs.
The Ficus Elastica Abidjan bush prefers a bright spot close to a window. This houseplant really needs daylight to develop. If the Abidjan stands in a spot that is too dark, it will not grow new leaves. Be careful during the summer months, as direct sunlight can become too intense. For this period, move the plant to a spot with fewer hours of sunlight per day.
The leaves of the Rubber Tree are toxic to pets and children. Ingestion of the plant is strongly discouraged. The sap contained in the plant can cause skin irritation. So be careful with this plant if you have children or pets.
