The potting soil of the Calathea Makoyana may be kept slightly moist with regular intervals, but be careful not to overwater the plant. Too much water can cause it to accumulate at the bottom of the pot near the roots, causing root rot.
For this reason, we recommend feeling this out before every watering. Is the soil still damp from last time? Then wait a while.
It is also a good idea to regularly spray the leaves with a water spray. This way, you keep the humidity around the plant high.
