The crown containing long, bright green, large leaves of about 40 to 60 centimeters that stand straight up makes the Yucca Rostrata a real eye-catcher. Originally the Yucca Rostrata comes from Northeast Mexico, West Texas and the Chihuahua Desert.

The Yucca is a real sun lover and does not need much water. However, if you keep the Yucca Rostrata outside during the winter months, the Yucca can be sensitive to moisture. It is important that the Yucca Rostrata has a good drainage system in the pot so the water can run away. It is also advisable to protect the plant from moisture in the wet months. Too much moisture can cause rotting and of course this is something you want to prevent!

The Yucca Rostrata originally comes from very dry areas and is therefore not a fan of too much water. The Yucca Rostrata does not need to be watered very often. It is a slow grower and the plant simply does not need much water. However, you should check the soil once a week and make sure that it does not dry out completely. When the soil feels very dry, you can give some water until the soil feels moderately moist. Always check the quantity and frequency in the beginning.
