Like most of its relatives, Philodendron originates from the tropical rain forests of South America. Here, the Philodendron lives in the shade of higher trees. Philodendron Shangri La Feel Green is characterised by its beautiful frayed leaves with a leathery texture. Philodendron Imperial Green, on the other hand, has smooth leaves of different shades of green. A very special sight! 

Philodendron care & tips

The Philodendron is easy to take care of and has a strong structure. Place it in a spot in normal daylight/semi-shade and the plant will soon be happy. Try to avoid direct sunlight, because the leaves may shrivel up and dry out. Because of its tropical origin, Philodendron likes a high humidity. Therefore, you should regularly spray the leaves with water to keep them looking beautiful.

Philodendron water requirements

The Philodendron needs moderate amounts of water. Try to keep the soil slightly moist, but be careful not to over-water it. Too much water can cause root rot, which can kill the plant. We recommend feeling the soil with two fingers to check whether it is time for watering. If the soil is already very dry after two days, you can water your Philodendron again. If the soil is still very wet after a few days, we recommend you wait a while.

Light requirements for the Philodendron

Place the Philodendron in a spot in normal daylight with some shade. The plant will not appreciate direct sunlight. The leaves may burn and die, and the production of new leaves will not be encouraged. Make sure that the Philodendron is not placed in a windowsill or in front of a window.

Is the Philodendron poisonous?

Yes, the Philodendron is slightly poisonous. So be careful with small children and hungry pets.

How will my two Philodendrons be delivered?
