Philodendron Black Cardinal - 30cm

The Philodendron Black Cardinal is a member of the Philodendron family from the rain forests of South America. Here, the Philodendron grows mainly as a climber on taller plants and trees. The Black Cardinal has dark green leaves with a red tinge. In some cases, the leaves can be so dark that they appear almost black.

The Philodendron Black Cardinal is not difficult to look after. Place the plant in a spot in normal daylight and make sure the soil remains slightly moist.

Water the Philodendron Black Cardinal weekly, the soil should always remain slightly moist but beware of too much water. This plant does not appreciate wet feet. Regularly feel whether the potting soil feels slightly moist to be sure you are giving your houseplant enough water.

This houseplant originally grows at the bottom of rainforests, in the shade of trees. It does not like bright sunlight and prefers normal daylight or even shade. Pay attention to this when giving the Philodendron a spot.
