Care & tips Orchid Coral (Phalaenopsis) - 70cm
People often think that when houseplants have flowers they need a lot of attention and care. In many cases they do, but the Coral Orchid is a real exception. The location of this tropical houseplant is the most important thing and once you have found it, you will not have to worry much about the Orchid Coral.
Water requirements Orchid Coral (Phalaenopsis) - 70 cm
As said before, the Orchid Coral is an easy indoor plant. Only the watering is a little bit different than you are used to. Most plants you can easily water with a watering can and it doesn't matter if the water hits the plant. For the Coral Orchid, however, this is not very conducive, so we advise you to place the entire root ball in the water. You do this by taking the plant out of the pot and putting the clod in a bowl of water. In this way the Orchid Coral can absorb the water well. It is important to let the clod leak out well before you put the houseplant back in the pot. Otherwise the leaking water may accumulate at the bottom of the pot, which increases the chance of root rot.
Light requirements Orchid Coral (Phalaenopsis) - 70 cm
As said, a correct position is very important to keep the Orchid Coral as beautiful and healthy as possible. The location should have sufficient indirect light, but make sure that this houseplant is not placed in direct sunlight. The Orchid Coral is not a fan of this and this can cause its leaves to burn.
