The Joyride orchid has a deep pink colour that is almost impossible to ignore; it is a real eye-catcher! The Joyride orchid is originally an epiphyte and comes from the rain forests of Asia, Australia and South America. In these areas the orchid grows like an air plant, it has no roots in the ground and gets its nutrition from the air. When you order an orchid houseplant from Green-Bubble it will be delivered in a cultivation pot, because the orchids can't get enough nutrition from the air in our living rooms. Another fun fact about your future green friend, he is super fresh. It comes from our own nursery!
People often think that the Joyride orchid is a difficult plant to look after. We can understand this, because you don't get such a beautiful and flowering houseplant for nothing, do you? Well, it really is! Once you have found the right spot you will hardly have to worry about it anymore.
The Joyride orchid is an easy houseplant that needs water a maximum of once a week. The frequency and amount is of course different for every Joyride orchid, but on average this tropical houseplant needs some water once a week during the summer months and once every ten to twelve days during the winter months. The way this beauty needs to be watered is a bit different than what you are used to. It is best to remove the entire root ball from the pot and place it in a bowl of water. Let the root ball stand in the water for about ten minutes and then let it drain thoroughly. By letting the root ball drain out well, you prevent a layer of water from forming at the bottom of the pot. This water can lead to root rot and of course you want to prevent that!
This tropical houseplant needs a spot with sufficient indirect sunlight, a place on the windowsill on the north-east would be ideal. Protect your Joyride orchid from direct sunlight as this can burn the leaves.
The Joyride orchid is not poisonous, which makes it a pet-friendly houseplant.
The Joyride orchid is a Phalaenopsis, which means that this houseplant will flower up to 3 times a year and the flowering time is 2 to 6 months. In short, you will have beautiful flowers in your home all year round! You do not have to cut off the stems of the White World orchid to get a new flowering. However, if the stems become too long, you can cut them off and put the flowers in a vase.
This hip houseplant will be sent in a cultivation pot. All our houseplants are sent in specially designed boxes. Because of the unique interior of the boxes, the houseplants stand firm in the box and cannot move. Houseplants don't mind being in a dark box for a day. This way, we make sure that your green friends are delivered to your home in tip-top shape.
Wat een plaatje zeg. In het verleden al eens jullie White World orhcidee ontvangen. Ik kan niet anders zeggen dan: topkwalitiet!
