Care & tips Kentia Palm

The Kentia Palm is not difficult to care for. Make sure that you do not completely forget about the plant; this tropical surprise also needs attention now and then. Make sure that you are well-informed about how you can best care for the Kentia Palm. As far as plant nutrition is concerned, we recommend that you only do this in the period from March to September. This is because the Kentia Palm is a slow grower and therefore does not need as much nourishment. We recommend half of the recommended amount. 

Water requirements for Kentia Palm

Make sure that the soil of the Kentia Palm always stays slightly moist. Make sure that you do not over-water. This can cause the water to accumulate at the roots and can cause root rot. Root rot is difficult to remedy, so it is better to prevent it.

Light requirements for Kentia Palm

The Kentia Palm likes a light spot but not direct sunlight. You might expect that because of its tropical background the palm loves the sun, but nothing could be further from the truth. Direct sunlight does not enhance the beauty of the Kentia Palm.
