Ficus Benjamina does like a moist soil. If the soil is dry after a few days, it is time for some water again. If after a few days the soil is still wet from last time, it is better to wait a while. Do not feel this at the top of the soil but a little deeper into the soil. This is the best way to determine the plant's water requirements and prevent root rot.

Put Ficus in a place where it gets a lot of light. The plant prefers to be in light all day. Enough daylight is a must for healthy growth and leaf production.
