Like all Philodendron plants, Philodendron Xanadu is easy to take care of. It does not need much water, but a moist soil is important. Watering the plant varies per season, so be careful not to overwater it in the winter months. Because the sun shines less in these months, less water is burned and remains in the pot. Water that remains in the pot can cause root rot, so be careful with this!

Water requirements for Philodendron Xanadu 

Philodendron Xanadu does not need much water, but it is important that the soil is always slightly moist. Check the soil at least once a week and water it if necessary. As stated earlier, the water needs vary from season to season, so take this into account as well! In the initial period, it is always a matter of finding out how much and how often you have to water your new green friend. The frequency and amount depends on the size of the pot, the plant and the location of the houseplant. When the leaves of thePhilodendron Xanadu develop brown or yellow edges, this is often a sign of too much water. In this case, reduce the amount of water and replace the wet potting soil with fresh potting soil.

Philodendron Xanadu is not very picky about its location. It does need light like any other houseplant, but it does not necessarily need it to continue growing or to retain its colour. Nevertheless, Philodendron Xanadu prefers a position in the semi-shade with indirect sunlight. This makes it the ideal houseplant for a darker corner. Be careful, however: it cannot stand completely in the shade. When the leaves of Philodendron Xanadu turn yellow and start drooping, this is a sign of a too light position. In this case, move the houseplant to a place with more shade.

Philodendron Xanadu is not poisonous when touched, but eating it can cause vomiting and irritation. Be careful when you have small children or hungry pets!
