Elastica Robusta is a member of the Ficus family and has more than 1000 different species that you cannot immediately tell belong to the same family. Most Ficus species are indigenous to tropical Asia.

Ficus Elastica Robusta has deep dark red leaves and a red plume at the top of the plant. Many people think that this is the flower of Ficus, but that is not true. Ficus develops its leaves from this plume.
