The Curculigo Latifola is a trendy houseplant that stands out in every room with its broad and palmate leaves. This houseplant is spread worldwide and can be found in all tropical rainforests. In the rainforests, they cover the ground and provide an explosion of colour. The Curculigo Latifola is known for its very frequent flowering periods, even in your living room! So it really is a tropical houseplant that will bring colour and life to any room.

Care and tips Curculigo Latifola - 140cm

Despite its size, the Curculigo Latifola requires little attention and is therefore also suitable if you have less green fingers! This large houseplant will also help you purify the air in any room. Due to its size, it can make a significant contribution to air quality.

Water requirements of the Curculigo Latifola - 140cm

The Curculigo Latifola is originally a tropical plant and therefore likes moist soil. Make sure that the soil is not wet, however, so we recommend that you water several times with a reduced amount. The growth period of this houseplant starts in March and ends in the middle of September. Your Curculigo Latifola will need more water during the growth period, and it will probably start to flower during this period. When the Curculigo Latifola is in flower, it will need extra water. Feel the soil more often in this period to see if it is still moist. In the winter months, this houseplant needs less water because it is in its 'resting mode'.

The amount of water needed is different for each Curculigo Latifola and depends on various factors such as ambient temperature, light intensity and the size of the pot. We recommend that you keep an extra eye on your Curculigo Latifola during the first few weeks after purchase. During this initial period, adjust the frequency and amount of watering. If the soil still feels damp after 4/5 days, we recommend that you give less water the next time you water.

Light requirements for Curculigo Latifola - 140cm

The Curculigo Latifola originally grows on the soil of the tropics and therefore does not receive direct sunlight. Nor does it need direct sunlight in your living room. Three hours of sunlight a day is sufficient for the Curculigo Latifola. If it gets more sun, it will need extra water, so keep this in mind.

Is the Curculigo Latifola - 140cm a poisonous houseplant?

This houseplant is absolutely not poisonous, so you can safely place your Curculigo Latifola on the ground. Even if you have small children or pets!
