This variant of Ficus Lyrata is branched and therefore gives a nice lush effect to your interior. In the wild, Ficus can grow up to 30 metres (!) high, but don't worry, in your home, the plant will keep a low profile. When you buy this Ficus, there is a chance that the green houseplant will drop some leaves in the beginning, because it has to get used to its new environment.
Please note! The plant in the photo is an example. This is not the exact plant that will be sent. Fortunately, Ficus Lyrata branched is not a difficult plant to take care of. However, the plant is sensitive to a new environment. We therefore recommend not changing the plant's location too often. Is the plant growing to one side? Then turn it around a bit every day without moving the plant. This way, Ficus gets the same amount of light on all leaves. In the summer months, Ficus can use some extra plant food to get more nutrients.
The soil of Ficus Lyrata Branched should always remain slightly moist. We recommend watering the plant several times with small amounts in the beginning instead of a large amount all at once. This way, you avoid giving the plant too much water, which it might not be able to handle. In summer, the plant's water requirements are often higher because it uses more moisture. Ficus appreciates a regular sprinkling of its leaves.
Ficus Lyrata branched likes the sun. The plant even needs it to stay beautiful and healthy. But be careful in the summer. If Ficus is placed in front of a hot south-facing window all day, it can be a bit too much. Move Ficus carefully away from the window. When Ficus grows little new leaves, this can be a sign of too little sunlight.
Yes, unfortunately Ficus Lyrata branched is poisonous if ingested. The sap contained in the plant also irritates the skin. So be careful with this plant if you have children or pets.
