This beautiful tropical plant is also known as the European dwarf palm. This is the only type of palm which originates from Europe. This palm can withstand frost. Compared with other palm species, the Chamaerops Humilis is not very large.

The Chamaerops Humilis originally grows in areas where it is a little warmer. It can withstand bright sunlight and therefore prefers a spot in the full sun. Water this palm when the soil feels dry.

You can easily assess the water requirements of the Chamaerops Humilis by feeling the soil from time to time to see if it is slightly moist. If this is not the case, it is time to give the palm some water.
