The Strelitzia Nicolai immediately brings a tropical feeling into your home.
Just as with the other Strelitzias, the care of this easy houseplant is not very complicated. Give the Streltizia some water once a week and you will be able to enjoy it for a long time. Watering the Strelitzia Nicolai once in a while will also do it good.
Please note: the leaves of the Strelitzia naturally have cracks in them.
Ficus Lyrata is a popular houseplant because of its particularly beautiful leaves and easy care. Ficus Lyrata's nickname is Tobacco Plant, which it owes to the shape of its leaves. In the wild, this green houseplant can grow up to 30 metres high. Ficus Lyrata is a fast-growing plant, but it will not easily reach this height. When you buy this plant, there is a chance that the green houseplant will drop some leaves in the beginning. Do not panic, this is because it needs to get used to its new environment. Furthermore, this plant is a real sun-worshipper!
The Alocasia, also known as elephant ear, is a cool green houseplant with a tropical touch that is a really nice addition to your interior. Alocasia's regularly have water dripping from their leaves, this is called guttation. This is normal and cannot be prevented.
The Monstera Monkey leaf plant, the official name for this playful houseplant, is Monstera Adsonii. It is the brother of the well-known hole plant. This brother is different though, as the leaves seem to have been punctured in the middle, making the plant a real eye-catcher in any room. The biggest difference is the height, as the Monstera Monkey Mask moss stick rises. Higher and therefore different to place than a low version, a real addition to your urban jungle.
As far as we are concerned, these houseplants are a truly golden combination for your interior. All three of them immediately give a tropical atmosphere to every room in your house.
Care & tips
These houseplants are all easy to look after. Although they are easy to look after, this does not mean that you can leave them to their own devices. Make sure you are always aware of the best care for your green friends. These three houseplants need plenty of water every week. Not sure if you are watering enough? Then feel the potting soil regularly. Is the soil dry? Then give it some extra water.
The houseplants in this combi deal need water every week. If you are not a hero when it comes to watering your houseplants, this could prove fatal. Although too little water is not good for your houseplants, they do not like too much water either. It is best to feel the potting soil to be sure that you are giving enough water.
Ficus and Monstera both love light but do not like direct sunlight. Therefore, put them in a place where enough light shines in, but not too close to the window. The Strelitzia and the Alocasia, on the other hand, do go well with direct sunlight. Strelitzias even need the hours of sunlight to remain beautiful.
Are Strelitzia, Ficus, Alocasia and Monstera poisonous houseplants?
Are you a real animal lover? Then it is a good idea to check whether you have chosen animal-friendly houseplants. The houseplants in this combi deal are not animal-friendly and are mildly toxic. So you would rather not have these in the vicinity of your faithful animal friends.
