The Aloe Vera is an easy plant to look after. Besides its tough appearance, the houseplant is known for its healing properties. A fun fact : When you prune a leaf of the Aloe Vera, it will form a membrane within seconds and heal after just a few minutes. This shows the healing powers the plant has. 

Water requirements of the Aloe Vera - Mix

The Aloe Vera does not need much water. In fact, the plant stores water in its gel-like leaves. From April to October, the plant needs a little water to prevent the root ball from drying out completely. In autumn and winter, this cool houseplant prefers to go weeks without water. It almost never happens that an Aloe Vera gets too little water. If you see that the tips start to contract and turn red, the plant should be watered more often.

Light requirement Aloe Vera - Mix

The Aloe Vera is not at all difficult when it comes to its location. The healing houseplant can stand in a sunny spot, but also in the shade. It makes no difference to the Aloe Vera. 
Just note that the plant grows faster when it is in a light spot. 

Is the Aloe Vera a toxic houseplant?

The Aloe Vera is not toxic to humans, as you can consume the gel and use it in products. Make sure you really use the gel and do not accidentally scrape the inside of the leaf. This can be slightly irritating. CAUTION: Aloe Vera is toxic to pets. The gel can cause vomiting and diarrhoea. 

How will my Aloe Vera be sent?

This green houseplant will be sent in a cultivation pot. All our houseplants are shipped in specially designed shipping boxes. Due to the unique interior of the shipping boxes, the houseplants stand firmly in the box and cannot move. Houseplants don't mind spending a day in a dark box. So we make sure your green friends are delivered to your home in tip-top order.
