The location of a houseplant has a lot of influence on how the houseplant is doing. Many houseplants can't stand direct sunlight and get brown spots on the leaves when you expose them to the sun for too long. Would you still like to put a houseplant by the window? Then there are a number of green houseplants that are very suitable for putting in full sun. The green houseplants in this category prefer to be in full sun and do not do so well in the shade!

It is important to know that houseplants that like to be in full sun, in general, also need much more water than a houseplant that is in the shade. These houseplants need more care, be aware of this so that you know what you need to do to let these houseplants survive as long as possible in your home!

In our nursery, the houseplants that can withstand full sun are also exposed to light, but this is done by means of light sensors. This makes the power of the light very easy to maintain. It is possible that your new houseplant has to get used to its new environment and the amount of light in its new place. We therefore advise you not to put the houseplant directly in full sunlight, but to let it get used to it slowly.

Types of indoor plants with a pitch in full sun

Houseplants that can withstand full sun include tropical plants such as the banana plant. In addition, there are also many cacti, palms and succulents that can withstand full sun. Please note, every houseplant that can withstand full sun still has its own way in which it can best be cared for.

Why do these houseplants belong in full sun?

The houseplants need full sun, because they are naturally used to this. In the shade, these houseplants do not come into their own and will not last as long as when they are in full sun. Sunlight ensures that these houseplants continue to grow.
